Zip

Zip is an OC resource that reflects the extra attention the show gives to those characters with the least time left. Zip is acquired at the beginning of each session, with the amount gained proportional to how few episodes a character has left. Zip can then be spent to accelerate a character's story towards its natural conclusion. These are the kinds of memorable moments that make your character stand out, which an audience might reflect on with admiration.

Over the course of the game each character will have a total of 7 Zip. At the beginning of each episode each player will receive an amount equal to 7 divided by the total number of episodes the character will be present in, with the remainder distributed towards the last episodes the character will be in. For example, a character present in 2 episodes will receive 3 Zip in episode 1 and 4 in episode 2, while a character present in 5 episodes will receive 1 Zip in episodes 1, 2 and 3 followed by 2 Zip in episodes 4 and 5. If Zip is not spent by the end of the session, it will carry over to the next session that character is in.

Zip is spent on features granted by Quirks, and, with one exception1), all characters will have at least one Mechanic which provides a way to spend it.

If you have taken the Two Dimensional Cartoon Logics, you are only allowed to take two abilities, not three. You are not required to take an ability which spends Zip. Bear in mind that if you have no abilities or Cartoon Logics which let you spend Zip, you will not be able to spend this resource, so choose wisely!
