**Character Appearance**: Serena Swann is not your ordinary backyard bird. No, she is a work of art. Brightly and ornately painted, Serena is a carousel swan with a little golden crown. She still moves like she's part of the carousel, but the rest of the carnival is no where to be seen. Often, tinny carnival music can be heard when she's around.

**Character Biography**: The Queen of the Pond may be a bit imperious, but visitors are never unwelcome. This monarch has absolutely power in her kingdom (a little neighborhood pond in The Bed O’ Leaves, where her only real subjects are a few goldfish). However, her coronation was a recent event, and many characters may remember her humbler origins and her great Quest to find her True Purpose.
